On the 4th November 2012, I was received by the family(my in-laws) as their makoti. It was a beautiful event, that I had predicted years ago.

As dancing is a form of mediation, for me.
There was calmness and stillness in me, as I took the dance floor with women who were born! Wearing #Xibelani.
I was over the moon, as I had been dreaming of the day since I met my husband, so I was insanely happy!!!!!!!!!

Was put together by my husband, except for my Ayala Bar earrings, the matching necklace and my Vans.
As a make-up lover, looking natural is my drive in every look I create… Unless stated otherwise.
On this day I was pretty clean #nofilter. All I had was my Clinique Precious Posy Blush and Extended Eyelashes. My skin was glowing and my eyes twinkling with stars, pretty as picture.
I felt beautiful, beautiful from within…. The beauty of wearing ones traditional attire, were girls are separated from women by how they dress traditionally.The beauty of consciously giving in to another culture, learning its ways, its customs and learning to dance the traditional Xibelani dance in honor of his name.
In that day I became a woman
I became a woman whom someone calls his wife. This kind of beauty cannot be seen, it can only be felt. And when it’s felt, it radiates on your skin and your aura.
